Note that I am only allowed to upload files with some predefined extensions. Therefore, I renamed the .tgz to .doc...

A simple example plugin in 4 steps

Plugins are a great way of extending the functionality of QGIS without changing the QGIS internals. At this years FOSS4G conference in Lausanne, I had a workshop which showed how to create a simple QGIS plugin in 4 steps (in the hope that we will have a lot of new cool qgis plugins soon :-) ).
