QGIS svn head running on an EeePc
Submitted by aaronr on Sun, 2008-01-06 07:58.

Well, I finally got around to getting a Ubuntu 7.10 install going on my new EeePc (http://eeepc.asus.com/). 7 inches of GIS goodness after installing some base GIS software and then building the svn head of QGIS. I have a quick post on my blog:
As well as a quick video screen cast of using it. Lots of opportunity for a very small, very portable, very inexpensive field data collection tool, or ultra mobile GIS workstation.
Everything installed without a hitch and it is amazing what you can do with such a little machine... I still cant believe it!

Map Composer
I am trying to learn Quantum GIS, but I have not been able to find the " map composer" screen. Following the instructions, I end up with a blank gray " print composer" that will not add a map or titles. How do I find the " map composer" ? I must be doing something wrong
Any help would be appreciatated

Map Composer
Hit the print button on the main toolbar....map composer screen opens
Print/Map Composer
I having the same problem. When I hit the print button on the main toolbar only a blank screen is presented. Add new map is not working as well.
Thanks
Same composer problem
I access composer using print and the window and tools open, but the window is all grey, the tools are clickable, but do not allow to add new map. Help!
Cheers,
Brian
Solution
Probably Map Composer is there, but hidden beyond right window edge. Try to pull it. If map canvas is still unvisible, it's because the very small size - so just click "enlarge to full extent" button on the top.
However, it seems to be fixed at 0.10 release, so second way is to upgrade.
