RefMap: WebKit in PyQt
Submitted by aaronr on Mon, 2009-02-09 17:43.

So I have been playing with the new WebKit support in QT 4.4+ via the python bindings in PyQt. Pretty cool stuff and I think it will have quite a bit of potential within QGIS in the future.
I posted a quick blog entry about RefMap (a proof of concept plugin) along with a little video of using it. I am curious what others think and if people have ideas of future direction to take WebKit integration within QGIS.

Plugins
What version do I use these plugins?
http://qgisplugins.z-pulley.com/ used as its repository, but could not install because they do not appear.
How should I proceed to install their plugins?
congratulations for the initiative!
How to install...
You need to be using QGIS 1.0 or greater... and that QGIS needs to be built with QT4.4 or greater. The default windows builds for 1.0 should work, and the OSX App bundle for 1.0 should work as well (not sure what OS you are on). Just add the URL to the plugin installer 3rd party repos and search for the plugin. If all else fails, you can go to http://qgisplugins.z-pulley.com/ in a web browser and download the zipfile for the plugin and install it into your plugin dir manually and then go to enable it within the plugin manager in QGIS. Hope that helps...
